Product Designer
Product Designer
Design the UI and UX fans use to find, book, and get to their next show.
WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS
thumpN lives on how the product feels
Every fan's night out starts on our screen, long before they get near a venue. Discovery, checkout, tickets, entry it all runs through what you design. When a flow is confusing or slow, fans drop off, and a show sells fewer seats than it should.
We need a designer who's carried this weight before. Someone who can take a half-formed problem, ask the right questions, and design their way to something sharp without waiting to be told exactly what to build. You'll shape how fans across India experience live entertainment, from the first scroll to the moment they walk through the gate.
WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY DO
Real responsibilities, not a wish list
UX: end-to-end product design
Own UX for key fan-facing flows like discovery, event pages, checkout, taking features from initial concept through to launch.
Map user journeys and create wireframes to define the experience before moving to high-fidelity designs.
Conduct usability testing, analyse user feedback and data, and improve designs based on insights.
Design all user interface states, including empty, loading, and error screens, to ensure a seamless user experience.
UI: hands-on craft in Figma
Turn wireframes into high-fidelity, production-ready designs in Figma that are ready for engineering to build.
Create and maintain a scalable design system to ensure consistency across the app and web experience.
Build interactive prototypes to communicate user flows, interactions, and animations before development.
Collaborate closely with engineering throughout development to ensure the final product matches the intended design.
Collaboration and mentorship
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to design solutions that meet user and business needs.
Provide feedback and guidance to junior designers to help improve the quality and consistency of design work.
Stay updated on design trends, competitor products, and user behaviour to bring new ideas and improve the product.
WHAT YOU BRING
Specific experience, not vague credentials
Required
5+ years of product design experience across both UX and UI, ideally on consumer apps with real scale.
A portfolio that demonstrates end-to-end product thinking, including user flows, UX decisions, and polished UI designs.
Strong hands-on experience with Figma, including components, variants, auto layout, prototyping, and design systems.
Strong visual and interaction design skills with attention to spacing, typography, motion, and overall design quality.
Experience designing for both web and mobile platforms, with an understanding of the different user experiences and design constraints.
Ability to use user research and analytics to make informed design decisions.
Demonstrates strong ownership by independently driving design projects from concept through to launch.
Preferred
• Familiarity with motion design or micro-interactions.
• Exposure to A/B testing and experimentation frameworks.
• Genuine interest in live entertainment - concerts, festivals, sport, theatre.
NON-NEGOTIABLES
How we know this is the right fit
You design for real constraints, not a blank canvas: Live entertainment moves fast. Timelines are tight and things change late. You make good calls anyway.
You sweat the details fans never consciously notice: A confusing checkout costs us ticket sales. You care about the details most people are happy to skip.
You can defend your decisions with more than taste: Product and engineering will push back. You back yourself with data, research, or logic and not just "it looks better."
You mentor without being asked: Junior designers on the team look to you. You share what you know before anyone has to ask.
You thrive when priorities shift: Live entertainment doesn't follow a predictable roadmap. You adapt without losing momentum.
