Technical Program Manager
Technical Program Manager
Events don't slip. You make sure everything converging on that deadline actually gets there together.
WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS
Events don't move, so everything around them has to...
Behind every event thumpN powers is a web of moving parts: payment gateways, venue partners, event organisers, logistics vendors, and multiple internal teams, all converging on one immovable deadline. There's no slipping a launch date because an integration ran late. The show goes on whether we're ready or not.
This is an external-facing TPM role. A significant part of your week is spent negotiating timelines, unblocking dependencies, and translating between partner teams and thumpN engineering, while keeping every internal workstream aligned behind the scenes.
WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY DO
Real responsibilities, not a wish list
Program delivery
Drive end-to-end delivery of cross-functional programs spanning engineering, product, ops, and marketing.
Manage dependencies across multiple teams, surfacing risks early and driving them to resolution rather than just reporting them.
Coordinate event-critical launches where dates are fixed by the real world: sales opening, gate systems going live, partner cutovers.
Build lightweight processes that scale with the team without adding bureaucracy.
External partnerships
Own external partner relationships on the execution side: technology partners, payment gateways (Razorpay and similar), integration partners, and vendors.
Run kickoff, scheduling, escalations, and go-live coordination with those partners end to end.
Represent thumpN in external working sessions and follow through on commitments made in those rooms.
Operating rhythm
Run the operating rhythm: program plans, timelines, standups, status reports, and stakeholder updates that people actually read.
Make sure the right people know the right things at the right time, internally and externally.
WHAT YOU BRING
Specific experience, not vague credentials
Required
3 to 6 years managing technical projects or programs, ideally in a fast-moving product company.
Demonstrated experience running programs across multiple teams simultaneously, you're comfortable being the connective tissue.
Strong external stakeholder management: you've owned conversations with partners, vendors, or clients directly.
Excellent scheduling and coordination instincts, you keep many threads alive without dropping any.
Enough technical fluency to follow API integration discussions, understand dependencies, and call out unrealistic timelines.
Excellent written and verbal communication, internally and with external counterparts.
Bias for ownership: you close loops, you don't wait to be chased.
Preferred
Experience with payments, fintech, ticketing, or marketplace integrations in India.
Familiarity with tools like Notion, Slack, Linear, or Jira.
Comfort using AI tools to draft, summarise, and track program artefacts.
NON-NEGOTIABLES
How we know this is the right fit
You close loops, you don't wait to be chased.
Bias for ownership isn't a nice-to-have here. Dependencies don't resolve themselves, and partners shouldn't have to chase you twice.
You're comfortable being the face of thumpN, not a note-taker.
Real external ownership starts early. Partners need to trust the person in the room, not just the team behind them.
You treat launch dates as fixed, not negotiable.
Sales opening, gate systems going live, partner cutovers, these happen whether or not everything lined up in time. You plan around that reality, not against it.
You build process that scales without slowing anyone down.
Lightweight is the standard here. If a process needs a manual to follow, it's already too heavy.
