Accounts Executive
Accounts Executive
Every event settles here: payouts, receipts, and reconciliations, on time.
Why This Role Exists
thumpN is an AI native discovery and ticketing platform, and live entertainment moves fast. Events multiply, vendors need paying, artists need settling, and every rupee has to be tracked correctly. Finance here is lean and high ownership, and this role is where that shows up first: invoices booked right, payouts sent on time, reconciliations closed without chasing anyone twice.
You'll work under the Finance Lead, alongside our existing AP and AR owners, learning both sides of the ledger while keeping the daily, weekly, and monthly cycles running without gaps. This is a support and learning role, not a standalone charge, but the work you do here is what keeps the business honest with its own money.
What You'll Actually Do
Fix what's broken. Optimize what's working. That's most of the job..
Accounts Payable
Book accounting entries for invoices received, checking supporting documents before anything goes through.
Track credit card reimbursements and keep bank statements updated in Tally.
Prepare the Tuesday and Friday payout sheets for review, and raise POs for requests from other teams.
Follow up on pending payments and run the weekly bank reconciliation every Wednesday.
Keep the invoice-raised tracker current, and compile prepaid expenses, provisions, and accrued expenses for POs.
Accounts Receivable
Record and monitor daily sales entries, and complete event settlements within one day of the event.
Post bank entries for payouts and receipts, and generate sales proforma invoices on an ad hoc basis.
Track sales receipts against bank credits, alongside thumps tracking and discount tracking.
Update sales reports, including live event and sports trackers.
Run the weekly advance-vs-recoupment reconciliation every Thursday.
Maintain prepaid and unbilled listings, and track sales-returns filing.
Reporting, compliance, and coordination
Compile creditor ageing, debtor ageing, and the monthly expense summary.
Support GST, TDS/TCS, and Income Tax compliance, including payment and return filing.
Compile the monthly exception report for off-process payments.
Deliver monthly MIS by the 2nd or 3rd working day, including sales reconciliation across completed and settled events.
Coordinate with events, sales, and ops teams to chase documents, approvals, and information.
What You Bring

0 to 3 years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting.
Working knowledge of Tally and MS Excel or Google Sheets.
Basic understanding of GST, TDS/TCS, and statutory filing timelines.
High attention to detail and comfort with recurring deadlines, daily, weekly, and monthly.
Comfortable coordinating across teams to collect approvals, documents, and information.
Preferred
Prior experience in a startup or an event or ticketing business.
Exposure to bank reconciliation and MIS reporting.
Non-Negotiables
How we know this is the right fit
You catch small errors before they become big ones. A misbooked entry or a missed reconciliation compounds fast when hundreds of events are running through the books.
You don't let deadlines slide. Payouts, reconciliations, and MIS run on fixed cycles: daily, weekly, monthly, and the business depends on you hitting every one of them.
You chase people without being told to. Getting the right document or approval from another team is half the job, and no one will remind you to do it.
You're here to learn the ledger, not just clear a queue. This role builds toward AP/AR ownership, and that only happens if you understand why an entry matters, not just how to book it.
