Accounts Receivable - Executive
Accounts Receivable - Executive
Every event settles here: payouts, receipts, and reconciliations, on time.
Why This Role Exists
Concerts, comedy nights, sports, and festivals all run through thumpN, and each one leaves a trail: sales to record, bank credits to match, taxes to get right, and a settlement to close once the show is over. Accounts receivable keeps that trail clean, and it moves fast.
You'll work alongside our AR manager, supporting the daily entries, weekly reconciliations, and month-end reporting that keep organisers paid and our numbers honest. It's detail-heavy work, and the right person will learn the full AR cycle here, from first entry to final report.
What You'll Actually Do
Fix what's broken. Optimize what's working. That's most of the job..
Sales, settlements, and receipts
Handle daily sales entries and flag anything that doesn't match what actually sold.
Prepare event settlements so they can be reviewed and closed within one day of the event wrapping up.
Post bank entries for payouts and receipts, and help track sales receipts against bank credits.
Support the weekly Thursday reconciliation of advances against recouped amounts.
Draft sales proforma invoices when requested.
Tax, compliance, and controls
Assist with TDS and TCS entries and checks, so compliance stays accurate.
Help prepare the data for sales return filings ahead of deadlines.
Support Thumps tracking and the accounting entries behind it.
Track discounts and keep the records up to date.
Reporting and visibility
Help prepare MIS inputs so the report goes out by the 2nd or 3rd working day of every month.
Pull together data for the monthly sales reconciliation of events completed and settled.
Update sales reports, the live event tracker, and the sports tracker.
Maintain the prepaid and unbilled listing, and help prepare the ageing report for debtors, pending receipts, and long-due advances.
What You Bring
Required
2 to 3 years in accounts receivable, revenue accounting, or general accounting.
CA Inter or an MBA (Finance) in progress is a plus.
Working knowledge of Tally and a solid grasp of GST, TDS, and TCS basics.
Good Excel skills. You can build a clean tracker and find a mismatch in a long sheet.
Sharp attention to detail. You catch errors before they turn into problems.
Clear communication. You ask when something doesn't add up, instead of guessing.
Preferred
Experience in ticketing, events, e-commerce, marketplaces, or another high-volume consumer business.
Exposure to settlements, payouts, or payment gateway reconciliations.
Genuine interest in live entertainment and how the business behind it works.
Non-Negotiables
• You hit your deadlines. Settlements and MIS run on fixed timelines. When your part is late, everything after it is too.
• You check your own work. "Roughly matches" isn't a number we can file, report, or settle against.
• You flag problems early. A mismatch raised on Monday is a fix. The same mismatch found at month end is a headache for everyone.
• You want to learn the full cycle. This role is built to grow. If you're curious about why a number is what it is, you'll get there fast.
• You move with the event calendar. Settlements follow shows, not office hours, so some weeks will be heavier than others.
