Account Management Intern
Account Management Intern
Help look after the organisers already on thumpN, and learn how the relationships are actually built.
WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS
Getting organisers on the platform is the start, not the finish
At thumpN, an organiser listing their first show is the beginning of a relationship, not the end of a sale. The organisers who grow with us, who list more shows, trust us with bigger events, and bring others in, are the ones who felt looked after from day one.
This role exists to help make that happen. You will work alongside the account managers on a set of organiser accounts, and own the operational spine underneath them: the trackers, the go-live dates, and the small things that get missed. It sits at the intersection of client management, business development, and operations, and you will see all three up close from week one.
WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY DO
Real responsibilities, not a wish list
Support a portfolio of organiser accounts alongside the account manager who owns them, and become a name the organisers recognise.
Sit in on check-ins, write up what was said, and make sure every follow-up actually happens.
Own the DIY side of the pipeline: the organisers setting their own shows up on thumpN, from first draft to the moment tickets are live.
Maintain the go-live sheets. Every show due to go live, who owns it, what date it is locked to, and where it currently stands. Keeping that sheet true is the job, not the admin around the job.
Hold the go-live timelines. If a show is on track, it goes live on the date it is meant to. If it is slipping, you say so early, to the organiser and to the team, rather than letting the date pass and explaining afterwards.
Check listings before they go live: dates, tiers, pricing, artwork, copy. Fix what you can fix yourself and flag the rest to the person who can.
Chase Product, Marketing, and Operations for answers on organiser issues, and keep the organiser updated while you wait.
Keep CRM records and internal trackers clean and current, and write up organiser feedback so it
WHAT YOU BRING
Specific experience, not vague credentials
Required
Currently studying, recently graduated, or between things. No specific degree, and no prior account management experience needed.
Strong written and verbal communication. You are clear, professional, and easy to work with.
Comfort juggling several things at once without letting any of them fall through the cracks.
Good organisational skills and the discipline to keep sheets, trackers, and dates up to date without being reminded.
A problem-solving mindset. When something goes wrong for an organiser, you look for a fix before you look for someone to hand it to.
Ownership. You take responsibility for what you are given, however small, and you finish it.
Preferred
Any internship, part-time work, or college project in events, media, marketplaces, or a client-facing role.
Comfort with spreadsheets, and curiosity about CRM tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
College fest, society, or gig organising experience. Running a show teaches most of this faster than a classroom does.
A genuine interest in live experiences, music, or the broader events ecosystem in India.
NON-NEGOTIABLES
How we know this is the right fit
You are a relationship person, not a transaction person. You remember context, follow up without being asked, and make people feel like they matter. That is the job.
You follow through consistently. A promise made to an organiser is a promise kept, whoever made it. A go-live date is a promise too. You do not let things sit. You close loops.
You are organised and you stay that way. You will be holding details for several accounts at once, not one conversation at a time. You know where each one stands.
You ask instead of guessing. You are new, and nobody expects otherwise. What we do expect is that you ask early rather than hand in something half-right.
You thrive in a fast-moving environment. Live entertainment does not follow a predictable schedule. You adapt quickly and keep up.
WORKING WITH AI
We are AI-first. This is what that looks like in practice.
AI is not optional in this role and it is not a replacement for thinking. We expect you to use it actively to go further and faster, judge its output critically, and keep the quality bar high throughout. You do not need to arrive knowing how. You do need to arrive willing to work it out. The tools matter less than the instinct to reach for them at the right moment, and that instinct is most of what you will build here.
What that looks like in practice
Handle tasks that fall outside what the dashboard covers directly. Where the interface ends, you use AI to fill the gap, whether that means pulling structured data, generating formatted outputs, or running something the dashboard does not support.
Write prompts that actually work. Vague inputs produce vague outputs. You will be expected to give AI the right context, constraints, and instructions, and to iterate until the result is genuinely useful, not just technically a response.
Build small things the platform cannot do on its own. A report, a data export, a one-off document for an organiser. Start small, then build bigger.
Apply judgment, not just speed. A fast output that is wrong does not help an organiser. You check it before you send it, and when you are not sure, you ask.
The bar is not technical literacy, and it is not experience. It is the instinct to work out what needs to happen and then go and make it happen, instead of waiting for someone else to.
